Do not confuse Junior College as being a step backward - THERE ARE A BUNCH OF GREAT PLAYERS THAT HAVE TAKEN THE JUCO ROUTE!  IT IS A HIGHLY COMPETITIVE BRAND OF FOOTBALL.  There are many advantages to attending a Junior College for your first two or three years of College.  Academically, the class work is repetitive from what you just took in High School with slightly more detail.  The class sizes are similar to high school in that they usually only have 25-35 students per class which allows the teacher the opportunity to know their students.  Athletically, you may have the opportunity to get on the field as a Freshman or Sophomore and gain valuable game repetitions as a player that you may not get at a Major College. Financially, Junior College is affordable and far less expensive than Major Colleges.

Junior College is for four types of Student-Athletes

1) The elite athlete that did not meet the NCAA

Academic requirements.

2) The NCAA qualified athlete that needs more repetitions & skill refinement.

3) The athlete that needs both Academic & Athletic refinement.

4) The athlete that is just flat out passionate about playing college football.
